No luck?

Right now I've been watching on my computer screen hoping that I will be able to grab some opportunities. There was one white awhile ago but when I tried reserve it it turns gray already. The system was so slow, I understand that theres too many bloggers waiting out there too that causes the system slow? Or is it my connection which is slow? I don't know anymore! I almost give up in here it just so frustrating and its hurting my eyes too. I was so mad I even talk to my computer as if it can hear me. I might turn this thing off and watch tv! lol

Just cut it off!

Its been few days that we don't have telephone connection. Simply because we are no longer happy with the service provided by our telephone company. My husband is so upset and tired with this stinky phone company because of their poor service. Aside from changing the contract without prior notice, they also put so many hidden charges. Hubby was just so shock when he saw the amount written on the bill. He called the customer service right then and told them to cut it off for we believe we were over charged. Hubby and I were planning to subscribe with Verizon for we believe its good and most of all for us to have a Filipino channel. Right now we are using a pre-paid phone just for back-up. My apologize for those who called me especially to my friend Anna in Wisconsin, I know shes been calling me since last week. Hope this mess will fixed very soon.

Spooky smoke alarm!

Beep chirp-chirp-beep-beep that is the sound I heard last night. I jumped out of bed at 3am, turned on the lights and looked for the smoke! There was no smoke or fire, nothing but that crazy smoke alarm in the hallway chirping about every 10 seconds. Hubby found out that it just needs new batteries so he put new batteries on it and put it back on. But after a few seconds there it goes again beeping every 10 seconds it really hurts our ears so we took it off and put it on the table, we even took the batteries out so we thought its completely dead already! But to our surprise it still beep twice! Oh what a strange smoke alarm it is!

I love to meet different people from different places. The people whom you can share your stories about anything. Sometimes people shared their stories without even knowing them personally. I miss those days!

I get depressed when the temperature is low. This morning the temperature was 28 F that means I had to put three thick blankets on me. Some places here in Texas had snow already . I really don't want to go out during these days. I can't stand the cold. I can't even take off my fleece pajamas and socks inside the house. I wonder what will happen to those people who can't afford to have a heater? Those less fortunate people who live in the streets? Although I never seen one here yet but am sure there are some people out there suffering for cold weather like this. I pity for those who work on their farms, I know they had to wake up early in the morning, leave their warm bed and check on their cows and work on their fields. I should say farmers in the Philippines are more lucky for they don't get cold weather like here for its tropical country. Oh how I miss those days, the rainy and hot days when I was still there in my native land.

Turn it off and don’t open the door!

Saturday morning 9am, sleep late, no alarm clock, no cell phone, no lights, no sounds, and no work. We started our weekend off right. I think the very best day off is when it is started with turning everything off the night before. There is no better feeling than to pull the blanket over your head in your own warm bed on your day off. We did finally get up sometime around 10am only because we are hungry. Very slowly all the electronic devices around our house began to come alive again. The first electric monster to awake was our coffee maker followed by the music maker on our computer. Our day off together always seems to be centered on food and comfort. Saturday breakfast at our house seems to take about two hours to prepare because we cook everything in the kitchen. Nap time happens about one hour after breakfast at our place and can last for three or more hours sometimes. The 3pm guilt about eating sleeping and only looking out the window at a gray cold day forced me take a three-mile walk on my treadmill and sing along to all my favorite songs. Our day-off this week can be summed up in a few words like warm, safe, love, rest, a game of chess, childhood stories, and fuzzy shoes perfect. Perhaps we will open the door and go outside tomorrow!

Free Treadmill

Yes we got a free treadmill courtesy of John, Robert's eldest son. He called last night and said that he is going to give his dad a treadmill as a Christmas present! what a very thoughtful son he is. He was just at work when he called and it was late at night when he brought it here around 10pm then he had to fixed something on it to make sure it works good. He finished at midnight and travel back to their house. Robert wanted to give him some money but he refused it. He said he don't need the money, he just wanted his dad to get busy on that treadmill for he wanted him to live many more years! oh what an ideal son he is, thanks to John.
